歌曲背後的故事

它是《神是我倚靠》的英語版，也是我惟一唱的英文詩歌。我趁著大女兒放假歸家，叫她幫忙看看我寫的英語歌詞，她仔細作出提議和修改。然而錄歌的過程很辛苦，問題出於自己的一兩個發音不對，於是叫大女兒示範並錄音，我重複收聽和練習，卻無補於事。我把女兒的一個音收錄在正歌內，此秘密無人發現。每次當我聽這首歌，便勾起甜蜜的母女合作片段。

另有一個小秘密，在女兒的同意下，我將當時母女修改歌詞的對話錄下來，不時播放出來回味，才發覺她的聲音跟我相似，我唱歌的團隊也認為她的歌聲跟我的相若。

Story Behind the Song

This is the English version of “My Cornerstone”, and it's the only English song I've ever sung. I took the opportunity to have my eldest daughter go through the English lyrics while she was home during term break. She made careful suggestions and edits. The recording process was quite challenging for me due to a few pronunciation issues. Despite repeatedly listening to my daughter’s recorded demonstration and practicing, I struggled. In the end, I seamlessly incorporated my daughter’s recording of one syllable into the song, and no one noticed. I cherish the sweet connection between us whenever I listen to this song.

Another little secret is that I recorded our conversation of editing the lyrics with my daughter’s consent. I listen to the recording from time to time. Her voice sounds so much like mine, and my teammates agree too.
